Ex-MASSOB Leader Warns Politicians About Expelled Memebrs

The ousted leader and founder of the Movement for Survival of the Sovereign States of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has warned politicians to be cautious of expelled members of the movement. Ralph Uwazuruike warns politicians to stop giving money to expelled MASSOB members.

Uwazuruike, who is now the leader of Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), gave the warning through MASSOB’s National Director of Information, Sunny Okereafor, on Tuesday December 22.

The BIM leaders said politicians should be wary of expelled members as they might want to use MASSOB name to collect money from them. He explained that the warning became necessary following reports that some expelled members of the group had been visiting politicians collecting money from them under the pretext of the struggle.

Uwazurike said he would not fail to deal with any member of the group caught engaging in fraudulent activities that would drag the name of the group to the mud.

He promised not to compromise his leadership of the organisation and the Biafra Independent Movement, BIM, adding that the two bodies have been repositioned to actualise an independent state of Biafra.

“They should stop using MASSOB to collect money from politicians and the federal government. They should stop giving bad name to MASSOB by working for politicians. This is not the time to collect money and continue deceiving Ndigbo.

“We are freedom fighters; expelled members like Uchenna Madu and other pretenders should stop commercializing the Biafra struggle. I will never compromise my leadership or work with politicians. We have restructured and strengthened MASSOB to actualize Biafra.

“This is why we have now made it compulsory that before you belong to BIM, you must have served in MASSOB for at least five years so that you will be able to understand our non-violent struggle,” he said

Uwazurike also pleaded with the Federal Government to abide by the court order and release Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and director of radio Biafra from custody.

The Biafran leader further assured the public that MASSOB will continue to agitate for an independent state of Biafra via a non-violent protest.

Recall that few days ago, Uwazuruike, led Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) accused the leadership of the new Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Comrade Uchenna Madu of collecting N500 million from the Federal Government to hinder the release of Nnamdi Kanu from detention.
