“Pastor. I want to marry. I don’t understand why am experiencing delay in getting married in spite of the fact I am beautiful and well behaved. I have a very good job and I don’t fall sick. Everything in my life, except marriage, is okay. Pastor what do I do? I really desire to settle down, said Genevieve.
Genevieve’s story is a very interesting one, said the pastor. Before contacting me, she wasn’t contended with life. Though she was rich and beautiful, she wasn’t satisfied with life because she wasn’t married. The only marriage proposal she ever had was ten years ago, when she was in second year in the university. The proposal was from a fellow student named Felix who promised marrying her after graduation.
Genevieve got a very good job after her youth service but Felix didn’t get a job immediately. They decided to wait for him to get a job before getting married. But when he got a job four tears after youth service, history changed.
When Felix got a job, he actually wanted to start the marriage plans but his mother refused because Jackie does not hail from their tribe. And to Genevieve shock, Felix called off the relationship, the pastor said.
She had put in everything she had into the relationship believing they would surely marry. She was devastated that she was dumped after all the time, money, love, and care she put into the relationship. She was also surprised at the fact that none of Felix’s family members, with the exception of his aunty, supported her. Though she had a good relationship with his family members, only his aunty supported and encourages her. She was heartbroken!
When Genevieve contacted me, said the pastor, two years after she was dumped, she was still bitter against Felix. I encourage her to attend our marriage seminar. At our seminar, she learnt some hidden truths of marriage that completely changed her situation.
She decided to forgive Felix. She summoned up courage, called him on the phone and told him she had completely forgiven him. And that singular phone call changed everything.
Felix was discussing with his mother and brother when Genevieve’s call came in. Felix became very excited that Genevieve had forgiven him. He also told his mother and brother that Genevieve had forgiven him, and his mother broke into tears.
As soon as Felix dumped Genevieve, his mother introduced to him, a lady who is a student of a university located in his village. Felix and his family member quickly went to the ‘new’ lady’s family house and did the marriage introduction.
The two families decided the marriage would take place after the lady’s university education. And because the lady’s school was in Felix’s village, she was asked to live with his mother in his family house. Felix’s mother, who is a widow, lives in the village alone while Felix and his siblings live in Lagos.
The moment, the ‘new’ lady moved into Felix’s mother house, she started maltreating Felix’s mother. Felix was sending money to his mother through his ‘new’ fiancée and she was withholding them. She also turned Felix’s mother to house – help. Felix’s mother was doing the shopping for foodstuff, doing all the cooking in the house, washing plates and doing all the house chores. The ‘new’ lady was always insulting her and shouting at her. Felix’s mother didn’t know how to complain to anyone because she brought the ‘new’ lady herself.
So it happened that Felix’s mother visited Felix in Lagos and on that fateful day was discussing with Felix and his siblings when Genevieve phoned Felix and forgave him.
So, when Felix’s mother learning it was Genevieve that called to forgive Felix, she broke into tears and confessed how the ‘new’ lady had been maltreating her. She pleaded with Felix to bring back Genevieve and marry her. Three days later, Felix called Genevieve, asked for forgiveness and proposed marriage again to her, ten years after his first proposal to her.
The very day Genevieve forgive Felix, a senior banker in Lagos proposed marriage to her. She was so happy and surprised that she had the marriage proposal just few days after attending our seminar. And before she could recover form the shock, Felix called her and proposed.
Genevieve refused Felix’s proposal and he sent his aunty to plead with Genevieve. And because Felix’s aunty supported Genevieve when Felix dumped her, she gave her listening ears. As Felix and his aunty were pleasing with Genevieve to marry Felix, the senior banker was also begging Genevieve.
All of a sudden, Genevieve’s life turned around. It’s simply amazing! Yes, it’s amazing that someone that had been depressed and heartbroken without a man in her life suddenly had two marriage proposals. Just by learning some hidden truths of marriage at our seminar, her situation changed and she had a choice to make.
Genevieve eventually chose Felix and they got married effortlessly, the pastor narrated.
Now, there are so many ladies in the shoes of Genevieve. They succeed in virtually every area of life but find it difficult to marry. There are also many men who are still unmarried today because they are not sure of the best way to choose their right spouse. The married are not left out of the problems. Very many married people are not happy in their marriage.
The questions now are: How can a man choose his right spouse? What can an unmarried lady do to marry easily? What can a married person do to enjoy his or her marriage? What can a separated person do to reconcile with his or her spouse?
Learning the hidden truths of marriage is the solution. Marriage is a mystery (Ephesians 5:32). A mystery simple means a hidden knowledge. What this means is that the right doctrines of marriage that can help sanitize the marriage institution are hidden. They are not popular. This explains why people read so many books on marriages and still suffer in the area of marriage. A hidden knowledge cannot be in many books. Access to the hidden knowledge of marriage is what will make you succeed in marriage.
