Mu'azu Calls For Prayers In 2015 Elections

Sokoto - The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu'azu, on Wednesday appealed to Nigerians to always pray for the victory of the party during the 2015 general elections and beyond.
Mu'azu made the plea in Sokoto after  handing over a cheque of N250 million donated by the President Goodluck Jonathan to the victims of the Kara Market fire outbreak in Sokoto.
"There is only one people-oriented party that always sees to the problems of the people and fulfil its promises to them.
"The president promised to assist the victims and he has sent us to deliver the amount as promised today.‘’
He said that although President Goodluck Jonathan visited Sokoto to welcome former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa into the fold of the PDP, he still felt that it was necessary to visit and commiserate with the victims.
The PDP chairman called on the leaders of Kara Market to be just and fair in sharing the money donated to them by the Federal Government.
He also commended the Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Muktar Shagari, for his tireless commitment, especially on matters concerning the activities of the people.
In his remarks, Shagari said that the people of the state were always grateful with the way and manner the President was committed to further improving their living standard.
He promised that the people of Sokoto State are always ready to commit themselves to this administration and take full responsibility toward achieving  greater goals for the nation".
The deputy governor thanked the President for his huge contributions and assistance to the victims.
Responding, the Chairman of Kara Market Traders Union, Bello Danhaja, promised to be just and fair in the distribution of the money.
